Southern XC - Bordon,Hants 11th July

We had two riders competing on Sunday at Rd 4 of the Southern XC at Bordon which always offers a compact fun filled course, full of intriguing features that criss-crosses the event arena, giving spectators plenty of glimpses of the action as riders battle it out. A 5 mile course complete with dry dusty loose trails that test bike handling at every opportunity, as it swoops and climbs, taking in such features as the fast rolling, bermed ditches, a sandy drop offs that dump you at the foot of a firing range, plus plenty of rooty, sand covered climbs all linked together with sweet ribbons of fast flowing singletrack that gives you no time for rest, truly an epic but fun course.

Ian Petherbridge and Alex Taylor made the journey and both rode impressively Ian finishing 4th in the Grand Vets and Alex coming in a creditable 19th in the Sport cat.
