Road Ride - Fri 11th Dec

It has been a busy week good weather brings plenty of opportunities to ride and Andy,French Dave and myself were out on the road again hugging the north side of the South Downs for an hour and then climbing up Duncton Hill and dropping down to south side. Going up we were harrassed on the A285 by a multitude of irratic van drivers, who just had to pass us. French Dave was nearly the decorations on a christmas tree when a van and trailer decided to pass Andy and I then deciding he better cut Dave up before he hit the oncoming car, which was nearly stationary when he pulled in.  The descent was a little less eventful and we turned towards to Eartham and onto Slindon where French Dave left us to go back to Barnham. A little detour through Madehurst kept us a little safer before being overtaken on the inside on the Whiteways roundabout, bizarre! Still the descent down Houghton Hill was fast and furious and we were turning off to Amberley before we knew it through Rackham and into the relative safety of Parham Park.  Still an enjoyable ride but a little reminder to be careful out there.
